Thank you, Candace, for 25 wonderful years!
On the heels of last fall’s 25th anniversary of our first date (see Look at us), this month Candace and I celebrated our silver anniversary. On June 21, 1986, we were married in an outdoor ceremony on summer solstice. On that date this year, Candace wore a sterling silver triquetra pendant, which reflects some ideas about marriage as a participation in the divine communion of persons which I shared earlier this year (Marriage is the gospel made visible).
On our anniversary last year, I posted my Wedding Sonnet, which adorned the back cover of our program.
“for romance that rejoices to delight like freshly falling dew
distills from its sweetness each morning fragile joys anew.”
In 1999, on our 13th anniversary, I put up an old wedding site. In the next several posts, I’ll be updating and transferring the contents of that old website here.
First, wedding photos are now available on Flickr.
The wedding video is available on Vimeo:

I still can’t watch the beginning of that video without crying. It is so moving to see Junior walk Candace down the aisle. That gets me every single time. Wow.
